This is of course a parody of the famous American Gothic painting by Grant Wood. Interpretations of the original painting vary wildly from "critique of the cookie-cutter American aesthetic" to "a relieving sense of security during The Great Depression." As someone from The New York Times said that someone else said, "The painting endures, Biel concludes, because it is both itself and a parody of itself." So basically I'm either parodying itself or parodying a parody. Either way, this marketing copy is getting really confusing so I'll just leave you with something a bit more straightforward: you should buy this. RIGHT NOW.
